Back to blogging- hope everyone had a good holiday season… I get so burnt out with all of the holiday madness that I end up needing to take a break. Anyway, happy new year and here’s a quick shot of a turntable card that I made for a friend’s birthday- he’s a dj. I literally made it a half hour before his party, so there wasn’t time to take a good photo, but you get the idea.
I’ve been gradually trying to re-photograph some of my older cards, as I take photos of the new. Here’s some orange cards… Also, the holiday cards are slowly appearing in the shop– so look for them over the next week or two!
The busy season has started for me- here’s a couple of photos of some cards for current orders… Hope everyone’s autumn is going well. We’ve finally dipped below the 100 degree mark, which in Phoenix, means fall- yay!

I’ve been doing a little sewing this summer. I love textiles, and it gives me a chance to play with a different set of colors and aesthetics. I like to think that taking time to work with something new and different gives me a chance to stretch my mental wings a bit, and helps bring a new focus back to my other work. Here’s a little preview- I’ll have some stuff for sale too in a little bit…
People always ask how long it takes me to bend something- I never have a good answer… but I can tell you that this pile of wire was made during a 30 minute meeting…
Just a few photos from this week- I’ve been trying to figure out how to photograph my ceramics, so I’ve been stretching my wings a bit, so to speak. The photos below include one of my stoneware teacups on a scrap of linen I printed, and then a couple of shots of the orchids and sweet potatoes we have growing in the house. The orchid pots are also things I’ve made, for B’s orchid collection, and the sweet potatoes will be planted in the garden in June- to produce sweet potatoes in the fall/winter. It’s one of our traditions to dig the first of the sweet potatoes up out of the garden on Thanksgiving morning for dinner that evening…
