It’s been a long while since I posted- I’m actually concentrating on ceramics these days- if you get a chance, please check out my site– my new little company called Miro Made This…
But anyway, in the meantime, I wanted to introduce a friend that you’d probably like, because Pete‘s aesthetic is a little like that of my cards- bright and modern, with kind of the same audience appeal, except much more clever… It’s actually a project that my sister, Mimi, and her friends Sean and Pete are working on together- and they need your help to make their book a reality! They’ve got a kickstarter campaign going- please check it out- there’s a stop animation video that’s just AWESOME. And please tell your friends too! Thanks!

just a quick post- I’m in the weeds, trying to dig my way out… in the meantime, thought this was a terrific article- When Michelle Obama Came to Lunch – (via 101 Cookbooks).
Thought this was an awesome video (via drawn.ca)
Another supercool illustrator, Amy Hevron. I knew her a little through another friend in Seattle. Her little paintings are beautiful- and they are also painted on scraps of wood from an instrument maker- cellos and violins, etc… I always thought that was really cool.
I found this list a few months ago- although I’m not sure anymore how or where I found it- one of those things that happens when you follow link after link after link… Anyway, it’s a list of 10 principles that “may make your work better or may make it worse” by Frank Chimero, “a graphic designer, illustrator, teacher, writer + creative person”, based in Portland, Oregon. I think his list, and his stuff, especially the writing is terrific. Check out his blog when you get a chance.
